The 1″ Dimple Die is a highly versatile tool designed for punching and flaring dimples in sheet metal. It can be used to punch holes, punch and flare simultaneously, or flare existing holes. With precision-ground, hardened cutting edges, this die delivers clean, accurate results with every use. It is compatible with sheet metal up to 1/16″ (16 gauge) mild steel or 14 gauge aluminum. A 1/2″ pilot hole is required for installation, and it comes with a draw bar bolt for secure attachment. Start with small pilot hole and by tightening the provided bolt the tool will first punch the hole and by continuing to tighten the bolt a beautiful, uniform dimple will be formed to strengthen the metal.
